RED HOT Scorchers blaze their way to victory and take out the 2021 MacQueen’s Funerals, Corporate Challenge.

Scanlon’s Scorchers featured the following players throughout the season: Mick, Shane, Paul, Riley and Sharee Scanlon. Paddy Curran, Steve Moloney and Steve Arundell

Round 6

Densley’s Dodgers, (Ken Densley, Nigel Bruckner, Brendan Kenna and Danny Kenna) win round 6, with Straight Drivers and Cobrico Colts in equal 2nd place. 

After 6 rounds, 2 teams remained undefeated. Ladder leaders Scanlon’s Scorchers +70, were excited to take out this year’s Challenge. Densley’s Dodgers put in a gallant effort but fell short by 11 shots to take out 2nd place and Gambling Gallopers leapt into 3rd spot.

2021 -Corporate Challenge – Round 5.

Scanlon’s Scorchers, consolidate their top of the ladder position and take out Rd 5. City of Noorat and Densley’s Dodgers tie for 2nd place and Glen Warriors in 3rd.

After 5 rounds, 3 teams remain undefeated. Ladder leaders Scanlon’s Scorchers +58 sit in top spot followed by Glen Warriors +50, and Densley’s Dodgers +40.

TC P4mers suffered their 1st loss for the season going down narrowly to Ridley Rats.

Well done, Lion’s Maulers on their 1st win for the season.

Rd 6, “match of the evening” will feature Glen Warriors (2nd) going up against Densley’s Dodgers (3rd). Both sides will be hoping for a strong performance and for Noorat Farmers to pour “cold water” on the Scorchers. You would think that Scanlon’s Scorchers will be confident of taking out this year’s challenge and, on form, should easily account for the Noorat boys.

2021 -Corporate Challenge – Round 4.

2021 Corporate Challenge – Rd 4 Winners – Scanlon’s Scorchers. Mick Scanlon, Paul Scanlon, Paddy Curren and Stephen Moloney.

Scanlon’s Scorchers, fire up, to take out Rd 4 and move to the top of the leader board. City of Noorat and TC- P4mers have good wins to take out 2nd and 3rd spots for the evening.

Rd 3, Ladder leaders Glen Farmers and Gambling Gallopers were displaced from the top of the ladder.

Scanlon’s Scorchers +43 sit in top spot followed by Glen Warriors +37, TC-P4mers +28 and Densley’s Dodgers +26.

Glen Farmers, Gambling Gallopers, Straight Drivers and Fernlea Park all suffer their 1st loss for the season but remain in contention with 2 rounds to go.

Well done Middle Men and Christian’s Crusaders who had their 1st win for the season.

Rd 5, “match of the evening” will again feature Glen Farmers (5th) who take on Straight Drivers (7th) in a must win game for both teams to keep their season alive.

Molan’s Crushers – Rd 3 Winners.

Molan’s Crushers take out Rd 3 with a 19 shot up win. Gambling Gallopers in 2nd place and taking out 3rd spot Glen Farmers.

Rd 2 Ladder leaders, Cooinda Cowboys and Bowls Club Ringins, suffered their 1st losses for the season and drop down to 9th and 10th spots.  Glen Farmers +37, rise to the top closely followed by Gambling Gallopers +31 and Scanlon’s Scorchers +24.

After 3 rounds we have 8 teams with 3 wins.

Congratulations to Dixie Allsorts, Landscape Larrikins, Cobrico Colts and Ridley Rats who all had their 1st win for the year.

Cooinda Cowboys – Damian Lenehan, Eamonn O’Connor, Wayne Reicha and Gary Marr

Cooinda Cowboys have another convincing win to take out Round 2, with a 28-6 win. Co-Op Centurions bounce back winning 22-6 to take out 2nd place. Gambling Gallopers, Glen Farmers and Scanlon’s Scorchers all with wins and +11, were equal 3rd.

Overall Leaders after two rounds are: Cooinda Cowboys, +40, followed by Bowls Club Ringins, +27 and in 3rd place Glen Farmers, +23.

The Terang Bowling Club will host  teams battling it out over 6 evenings. Updates and photos will be available here.

We thank MacQueen’s Funerals and Cartridge World for their ongoing support of this annual event.

Our first round commences Monday, 11th Jan at 6 p.m..

Terang Bowls Club, 2021 Corporate Challenge will again run in 2021 – team entries are now welcome. Contact the club for details. Due to Covid restrictions some changes to the event may be necessary.
